We are breeders of Portuguese Water Dogs, Located in Pontypool Ontario, Canada. Portuguese Water Dogs are purebred, Non-Shedding, Hypo-Allergenic and are a medium size dogs. We have been breeding our Portuguese Water Dogs with our family since 2002. We stared this website to get more exposure to our kennel and the Portuguese Water Dog breed. The Portuguese Water Dog breed is recognized by the CKC and AKC, great family pets, loves people & good with other dogs and pets. Kortun Kennels has shipped puppies all over Canada, the United States and other international locations. All of Kortun Kennels Portuguese Water Dog breeding stock has been GM1, PRA, OFA approved.(GM1- Gangliosidosis a blood disorder) (PRA-Progressive Retinal Atrophy) (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) Our Portuguese Water Dogs puppies all come with CKC approved serial coded micro chips, first shots, full veterinarian check-up and we also offer a 2 year guarantee of Hip Dysplasia, GM1,PRA. Serial coded micro chips allow veterinarians and animal shelters to scan a chip placed between the shoulder blades of each puppy which contains information such as home location, dogs name and your home phone number. The information on the chip is kept with the CKC and all chips are linked to them. The chip does not need batteries and is of no danger to your puppy.Portuguese Water Dogs being Hypo-Allergenic and Non-Shedding are very beneficial to allergy suffering families. Families that have had "fur" coated animals know the amount of cleaning required to keep fur collecting on the floor, clothing, furniture etc. Portuguese Water Dogs shed like humans, which means minimal cleaning.
